Summary: From the analysis of the theoretical thoughts of Roberto Esposito, Remo Bodei
and Bill Brown, we see that, in a daily basis, human beings establish with things
a relationship of possession and dominance. Through a theoretical perspective
that rise from the ideas of Heidegger, passing through Viktor Chklovski, it is
possible to allege that our plastered gaze reduces the things into objects,
saving up our energies in favor of a perceptive automatism. In Objetos
turbulentos: contos para ler à luz do dia (1997), from José J. Veiga, each story
explores the turbulent relation between the character and certain object from his
prosaic reality. This research had the objective of analyzing the paths from
which literature becomes a propitious place for the objects to exceed their
utilitarian function and get to manifest themselves as things, reconfiguring their
relationship with people.
